Coaches,
We hope you all enjoyed your Memorial Day weekend and hopefully got some well deserved rest. We know that you are all very busy this time of year and we appreciate your efforts to keep your athletes wrestling throughout the summer months. As you have all heard there is no "off season" in this sport. We have a few reminders for you about upcoming events and our summer camps.
First, we have been given the opportunity to showcase our wrestlers on the CBS Early Show on June 5th. This will be a great opportunity to promote the sport of wrestling and the Beat the Streets Program. As you know students are excused from school for the day but teachers are required to work. If any of you would be able to work with your administration to be excused as well and travel with your team to this event it would mean a great deal to Beat the Streets and your athletes. If you cannot miss work, please contact BTS Staff to discuss other travel arrangements for your kids. The schedule for the day is as follows:
7:15am: Arrive at CBS studio located on 59th street and 5th ave.
8am: BTS wrestlers showcased
9am: Early show ends
9:15am: Breakfast is served to all wrestlers and coaches in Central Park.
9:30am: BTS College Coach of the Year, Bruce Haberli speaks to BTS wrestlers.
If you are able to attend this event please contact either Ryan Cooley, Vinnie Russo, or Michael Cigala and let us know how many kids you will bring with you.

Second, it is crucial that we send in our camp applications. Many camps are now less than a month away and our window of opportunity to send our wrestlers is quickly closing. We have been contacting camps to reserve spots for our wrestlers but without the actual applications being sent in nothing is a guarantee. This is an opportunity that we cannot let pass our wrestlers by. All of the information for each of the camps is easily accessible on our website. Please send in your roster forms to the PSAL office so that we can get you the necessary applications. This is currently the number one priority for BTS staff and all our coaches. If you have any questions or concerns about the camps please contact a BTS Staff member ASAP. Remember, wrestling season is all year round and the sun is overrated.
Thank you,
BTS Staff
