Coaches,
We hope you are all enjoying your spring break and looking forward to the final weeks of our BTS middle school season. We have finalized the details for our culminating events and we apologize for any confusion. The events will take place as follows:
Saturday, May 3rd: Fortress League Dual Meet Championships
- The tournament will take place at Petrides on Staten Island.
- Weigh-ins will be held from 8am-9am. {After 9am teams will not be entered in the tournament}
- The top two teams in each division will be placed in one bracket and 1st through 3rd place awards will be given.
- The rest of the teams from each division will be placed in a second bracket and the championship team will receive an award.
- \We ask that each team bring one person to help run the time and score clocks at the event.
- Every athlete will receive a free BTS T-shirt at the event.
- Buses will be provided for transportation. We will let you know the departure times and locations ASAP.
Saturday, May 17th: BTS Middle School Individual Championships
- The tournament will take place at the Harlem Armory.
- BTS will set up an online registration for your wrestlers. They must be registered by Thursday, May 14th at the latest. Any wrestler not registered will not be entered into the tournament. {We will let you know when the registration is set up}
- There will be a novice tournament for all first year wrestlers. {First year Fortress League wrestlers can enter the novice division}
- Wrestling will begin at 8am. {Make sure your wrestlers have time to warm up for competition}
- Weigh-ins for the advanced tournament will be held from 10am-11am. {Wrestlers arriving after 11am will not be entered in the tournament}
- At 12pm there will be a parade of every BTS team and pictures will be taken. {This includes all fortress and novice teams}
- The advanced tournament will begin at 130pm.
