Dear Coaches,
We have a short week this week with the holiday so I have a short update.
I just wanted to thank ALL coaches both BTS and our brothers at PSAL who contributed to make our Coaches College trainings and certification trainings such a huge and historic success. For the first time in NYC wrestling history, we have both BTS middle school coaches and PSAL H.S. coaches under the same tent training for the same goal: to make NYC WRESTLING the best it can be! (trainings were Nov. 3 and Nov. 9-10)
At our Friday night session for our 2 day certification we had a huge turnout with 21 coaches! It is exciting when all work together for a common goal. Total attendance for both weeks trainings were about 50 coaches. Not bad, but I know we can do even better. I will give you that chance on December 1 at our first annual BTS Champion Clinic & scrimmage for all NYC middle school wrestlers @ Grand Street Campus, 10:00am -3:00pm. All BTS Coaches are welcome as well as PSAL Coaches and wrestlers. Talk about exciting - how about a whole weekend of exciting Olympic wrestling here in NEW YORK CITY!
The NYAC will host its annual international holiday wrestling tournament on SATURDAY and SUNDAY with both Olympic freestyle & greco-roman competitions taking place, plus both men and woman wrestling. The weekend will actually kick-off with a RUSSIA VS USA DUAL MEET taking place in Orange, New Jersey on Thursday at 7:00 pm. Click here for more information.
Please consider taking your wrestlers to witness these amazing competitions. You and your wrestlers will benefit tremendously from this Olympic wrestling exposure. Your kids will not be the same after experiencing these competitions! Please take these advantage of these opportunities, for they do not come often. As always keep striving to be your best!
