The Beat the Streets Wrestling Inc. has announced its annual Award Winners that will be recognized at the Celebration Gala Event on May 20th, 6:30pm at the Bowery Hotel in lower Manhattan.
Man of the Year: Eric Goldstein- Chief Executive- Food Services and PSAL
Eric was very instrumental in moving the Partnership Agreement forward with the DOE/PSAL Administration. He allowed the Beat the Streets Executive Director to have an office in the PSAL Administration and providing their warehouse at a savings of $25,000 per year to the organization. He is a strong advocate of the program and will help us with our mission of expanding the base of wrestling in the NYC Public Schools.

College Coach of the Year: Bruce Haberli - New York University
Bruce Haberli had an Outstanding Year winning the UAA Championships, finishing 8th in the NCAA D3 with a 13-1 Team Dual Meet Record. He is a strong advocate of the Beat the Streets Wrestling Program since the very beginning and has recruited two MS Programs for the organization.
High School Coach of the Year: Michael Blythe- Petrides HS
Coach Blythe won the PSAL City Championship and has built the largest program in the PSAL with two assistant coaches, an active Booster and Parents Club while hosting several events for Beat the Streets Wrestling throughout the Year. He also coaches one of the two MS Teams and has the largest MS Program in NYC.
High School Developmental Coach of the Year: Keith Conrade- Canarsie High School
Coach Conrade was recruited to help the PSAL by Mike Cigala and Mike Spanakos by taking over an existing and dying HS program. He brought spirit and dedication to the school and was able to rally the Principal, AD, faculty and student body to support the wrestling program. He also has one of the top MS programs for BTS the last two years.
Middle School Coach of the Year: Corey Luce- Roosevelt Island MS
In his 3rd year, Corey Luce has set the standard for our MS Program and is the model that we want to emulate in all our programs. Throughout his career as a youth, MS, HS and college wrestler he lives the "wrestling life" and it ripples down to all the kids he coaches. He is also the Assistant Coach at New York University after spending several years as the Assistant Coach at Hunter College.
