Attention: Parents, Coaches and all 8th Grade Wrestlers
In September, all 8th grade boys and girls will have the option to register for admission through the 2009-2010 High School Selection process. We encourage all 8th graders who participated in the Middle School Program to continue wrestling with one of the 58 High School Teams. Read more.

9/3/08: Barry, Douglas, Goldstein, Thompson and Giffin: New Leaders for Beat the Streets Wrestling Program At the Bi-Annual Board meeting of Beat the Streets Wrestling Inc., Michael Novogratz - Chairman, announced a reorganization of the program administration and an expansion of the Board of Trustees. He recommended the following new Board Members that were approved with overwhelming support by the Board. Read more.

7/30/08: Future Leaders of America: 42 New York City Wrestlers Participate in a Leadership Development Program 42 New York City Wrestlers from 20 different NYC high schools are currently participating in a leadership development program designed by University of Minnesota Wrestling Head Coach J. Robinson. The program is being run at Southern Oregon University in Ashland, OR. It began on Sunday, July 27 and goes until August 9th. Read more.

6/30/08: BTS SUNY Cobleskill Summer Camp Bus Schedule The bus schedule for the Beat the Streets 2008 Summer Camps at SUNY Cobleskill is now posted.
6/19/08: New Weekly Update Busloads of wrestlers from New York City's Beat the Streets Wrestling Program will be attending the Bruce Baumgartner Wrestling Camp in July. Mike Cigala, Executive Director, has organized a large contingent mostly from Brooklyn High and Middle Schools to spend a week being inspired and motivated by one of America's most decorated athletes. 6/4/08: New York City Public School System Will Become the First City or State to Sponsor a Freestyle and Greco-Roman Season Mike Novogratz, Chairman of the Board, announced at the Annual Beat the Streets Celebration in May that the PSAL would next year begin the organization of both a freestyle and Greco-Roman season for high school wrestling in addition to the existing winter folkstyle season. Regular price is $200. BTS Wrestlers can attend for just $125 each if you can organize a group of 10 or more. We will provide housing and meals too. It is a great deal.
If a BTS Wrestler only wants to commit one day, they can attend Sunday from 10am to 4pm for $50 each. Lunch will be provided. Also, all coaches and parents can attend free.

Info: The Fall High School Developmental program will begin on Monday September 15 and continue every Monday and Wednesday until November 5th. More Info.
Location: Hunter College.
Times: All sessions will begin promptly at 6pm-8pm.
Cost: There is no cost and all BTS participants will be registered for USAW cards by BTS, which will allow them to participate in all USA Wrestling Events for the 2008-09 Season.
